Republican Senator Bill Cassidy released a shocking statement – that he doesn’t think that President Trump would even be the party’s nominee for the next elections in 2024!

Senator Cassidy was in a one-on-one interview with CNN’s speaker Dana Bash. She asked, and several times, if he would support President Trump if he decided to run for President again in the upcoming 2024, on which he replied: “That’s a theoretical – that I don’t think will come to pass. I don’t mean to duck, but the truth is you could ask me about a lot of people if they are fit. Point is, I don’t think he’ll be our nominee.”
He also didn’t forget to mention that while Trump was President, The Republicans lost seats in the House as well as the Senate.
“Political campaigns are about winning,” the senator added “That has not happened in a single four years under a president since Herbert Hoover.”
He added that “If we idolize one person, we will lose. If we speak to those issues, to those families, to those individuals, that’s when we win.” He stated this dismissing the absolutely obvious facts also visible on this weekend’s Conservative Political Action Conference, where Trump also is expected to give his speech!
Just to give you a reminder – Cassidy was one of the seven GOP senators to vote for convicting Trump during the second impeachment trial against him.
