According to Fox News, the English teacher rants about parents who want schools reopened in one video.
In the video, Piro says, “If your parent wants to speak to me about their career and their opinion on their profession, I would love to hear that.”
“However, if your parent wants to come speak to me about how I’m not doing a good enough job in distance learning based on what you need as a person, I’m happy to meet with them. Simply dare them to attack me. And I’m sick to my stomach with parents telling teachers how to do their jobs.”
A collective of parents in California has filed a lawsuit against Governor Gavin Newsom, requesting that in-person classes be reinstated.
Piro also chastised student Jace Jonas for making a remark about a “white student union.”
“You don’t need a white student union, Jace,” says the narrator. Piro said, “You get everything.”
Jonas was irritated when the school announced the creation of an Asian student union.
“I wanted to make a quick statement in the Zoom text box without disturbing the rest of the students. ‘Why do some races have student unions but others don’t?’ I wondered. For real equality, we should have a student union for all races or no races,” he told Fox.
“She started berating me about how I get everything as a white male and how it’s my responsibility to watch out for minorities and all these derogatory comments against whites and males,” she said. He went on to say, “She later called me a moron.”
