The RNC, NRCC, and NRSC have all been warned by Donald Trump not to use his name in official fundraising papers, correspondence, or merchandise.
Politico’s Playbook published the “scoop” today.

According to Politico, Trump has sent a cease-and-desist order to the RNC, NRCC, and NRSC. “Lawyers for former President DONALD TRUMP sent cease-and-desist letters to the Republican Party’s three main fundraising organizations — the RNC, NRCC, and NRSC — on Friday, a Trump advisor tells Playbook, for using his name and image on fundraising emails and merchandise.”
Politico offered a more detailed description in their article.
“We announced yesterday that Trump was enraged that his name had been thrown around by groups that support Republicans who voted to impeach him — without his permission,” the story continued. “Even while in office, Trump, who made his money in licensing, has always been open to how his name has been used to fundraise and help members.”
The RNC’s latest emails prompted the cease-and-desist note.
“On Friday, the Republican National Committee sent out two emails asking supporters to donate so that their names could be added to a “thank you” card for Trump,” Politico said. “President Trump will ALWAYS stand up for the American people, and I just thought of the perfect way for you to express your support for him!” reads the note. “As one of President Trump’s MOST LOYAL fans, I believe you are deserving of the great honor of having your name added to the Official Trump ‘Thank You’ Card.” A follow-up email was also sent.
“Privately, GOP campaign types suggest it’s hard not to mention Trump’s name because his policies are so common among the base,” according to the article.
Donald Trump has been preparing to go to “war” with the Republican Party, as we previously noted. According to several reports from senior aides and members of Trump’s inner circle, the former president has had enough of playing “fair” with the GOP establishment.
According to Politico, “Trump will soon begin screening candidates at Mar-a-Lago who are eager to fulfill his pledge to inflict revenge on incumbent Republicans who have scorned him, and to ensure every open GOP seat in the 2022 midterms has a MAGA-approved nominee vying for it,” according to three people familiar with the planning.
However, according to Politico’s story, the former president is “completely” interested in assisting the Republican Party in regaining control of the House in 2022, although with the candidates he prefers.
“President Trump is dedicated to the Republican Party, and he wants to ensure that the GOP reclaims the House of Representatives and the US Senate in 2022,” Miller said.
Donald Trump hinted at a potential presidential bid in 2024 at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida on Sunday.
After lambasting the Democrats, he said, “This alone should be justification enough for Democrats to suffer withering defeats in the midterms and to lose the White House decisively four years from now.”
