BREAKING: Petition to Censure Maxine Waters

A increasing number of Democratic members of Congress are so outraged at Maxine Waters for encouraging violence in Minneapolis that they are considering joining Republicans in censureing her, which would result in her removal as chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee.

While on the ground in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis, over the weekend, Waters urged Democrats to be “confrontational” and “make sure they know we mean business.”

“We’re hoping for a guilty verdict,” says the prosecutor. A guilty verdict is what we’re waiting for. And we’re trying to see if any of this [inaudible] occurred and continues to occur since they saw what happened to George Floyd,” Waters said.

“If nothing happens, we realize we’ll have to not just sit on the street, but we’ll have to struggle for justice, but I’m very optimistic and hopeful that we’ll get a verdict that says guilty, guilty, guilty.” And if we don’t, we won’t be able to leave.”

Waters advised her supporters to “stay on the highway” if Derek Chauvin is not convicted.

“We also need to become more involved. “We need to become more confrontational,” she said. “We have to make sure they know we’re serious about doing business.”

Democrats’ indignation against Waters “metastasized,” according to Fox News reporter Chad Pergram, after Judge Peter Cahill of the George Floyd death trial spoke out against her on live television, claiming that she may have triggered a mistrial.

“Some Democrats privately expressed displeasure with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) statement that Waters should not apologize,” according to Pergram. “A lot of Democrats are angry at Waters, and they’re worried about the optics of possible abuse being connected to her and Democrats in general,” Fox reports.

Pergram pointed out that far-left Democrats harmed moderate Democrats during the election by pushing the “defund the cops” campaign. Those Democrats are reportedly furious with Waters because they are “concerned about the optics of possible violence being connected back to her and Democrats in general,” rather than any moral dilemma they might have about what she said.

Pergram pointed out that the Democrats’ majority is already so slender that they can only afford to lose two seats. “One informed Democrat told Fox that some Democrats are so furious with Waters right now that they would welcome the chance to censure her,” Pergram concluded. “McCarthy’s censure resolution, therefore, could have legs.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy promised on Sunday that if Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi refused to take action against Waters, he would.

McCarthy issued a statement saying, “Maxine Waters is inciting violence in Minneapolis, just as she has incited violence in the past.” “If Speaker Pelosi does not take steps to counteract this dangerous rhetoric, I will take action this week.”
