There appears to be no agreement.
“Trust the science,” we’re told, but most doctors and surgeons appear to be skeptical of “the science.” Personally, I believe that many of those who talk about “believing science” are really just trusting the television.

The majority of doctors and surgeons who replied to a new study undertaken by The AAPS aren’t even vaccinated, according to the results.
How many do you want to know?
According to their poll, 58 percent of people think it’s a good idea.
This isn’t medical advise, and I’m not a doctor, but isn’t it indicative that doctors and surgeons are wary of the vaccine?
Perhaps, before blaming others for not getting the vaccine, they should examine their own medical professionals’ actions, not just their statements.
Take a look at this:
It's astonishing that the host thinks that the problem with doctors not being willing to stake their credibility on the vaccine is the reduced access to vaccines, rather than, you know, the problems with the vaccine that make doctors hesitant to stake their credibility on them. https://t.co/WX2Va1n8ft

The following is taken directly from the AAPS website:
Unknown long-term effects, use of aborted fetal tissue, “it’s experimental,” availability of effective early treatment, and stories of deaths and blood clots were among the other reasons for denying the shot.
Sixty-six percent of 560 practicing physicians claimed they provided early COVID treatment.
Nonphysicians were also encouraged to take part in the poll. 2,548 people out of a total of 5,300 gave their opinions on any connected negative effects they were aware of. Amputation, paralysis, stillbirth, menstruation abnormalities, blindness, seizures, and heart problems were among them.
“Causality has not been established. Many of these incidents, on the other hand, may have resulted in a large product liability or malpractice award if they had occurred after the introduction of a new drug, according to Dr. Orient. “Purveyors of COVID products are shielded from legal action.”
Since 1943, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons has represented doctors of all disciplines. Its slogan is omnia pro aegroto, which translates to “everything for the patient.”
How many of us take the yearly flu vaccine? I am not sure that many.

The immunizations were first in line for hospital employees, many of whom risked their lives during the pandemic and saw the virus’s devastation up close. Despite this, Nevens is one of a large number of hospital employees who have not been vaccinated.
USA TODAY polled several of the country’s top hospital networks and public hospitals. Fully vaccination rates ranged from 53 percent to 72 percent across the nine networks that responded. The rates ranged from 51% to 91 percent among 15 of the country’s largest public hospitals.
The poll included 276 hospitals or about 4.5 percent of all hospitals in the United States.
By July 4, most had fallen short of President Joe Biden’s 70 percent target. Employees with medical training, such as doctors and nurses, were among the staff, as were those in support positions, such as cafeteria workers.
The fact that so many hospital personnel are still unvaccinated is concerning for public health experts who rely on immunizations to prevent the illness from spreading. Experts are concerned that the rest of the population will follow in their footsteps.
