“Counties still have until April 29 to submit the rest of the verified signatures, and that will then be followed by a 30-day period where people can withdraw their signatures,” ABC’s report continued. “Former State Senator Don Perata has launched an effort — called ‘Stop the Steal’ — to encourage people to remove their names from the petition.”
Kevin Faulconer, Former San Diego Mayor, John Cox, San Diego businessman and former gubernatorial candidate, together with celebrity activist Caitlyn Jenner want to take the place of Newsom as a California Governor.
The petition called ‘’Rescue California’’ collected more than 1.5 million signatures, which are enough to put recall up for a vote. However, there are some uncertainties around California’s effort to gather as many signatures as possible.

And his policy on lockdowns has pleased no one: Conservatives have accused him of strangling the economy with restrictions on businesses, while public-health experts have criticized his decision last month to lift regional stay-at-home orders as premature. Governor Newsom imposed heavy lockdowns and personal hypocrisy during the COVID-19 situation, making the citizens furious.
The recall will test the politicians who misled the public during the pandemic and mask mandates ahead of the 2022 election.
