The female officer yelled “taser, taser” after Wright jumped back into his car and drove away as police attempted to apprehend him, according to newly released video.
Instead of the taser, the cop was wielding a handgun.
As Wright drove away, the officer exclaimed, “Oh sh–t.” “I just shot him!” exclaims the narrator.

Take a look at what the New York Post said:
Officials said Monday that a black man who died during a traffic stop in Minnesota was fatally shot by a police officer who mistook her gun for a Taser.
Daunte Wright died as a result of the officer’s “accidental discharge,” according to Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon, who added that the officer has been put on administrative leave.
During a press conference, odycam video of the incident showed Wright getting out of his vehicle, jumping back in, and driving away.
On the video, the officer can be heard saying, “Oh sh–t.” “I just shot him!” exclaims the narrator.
Gannon said he didn’t know whether a knife was discovered in Wright’s vehicle.
“From the video, it seemed to me that the person was attempting to get back into his car and leave,” Gannon said.
The police briefing came as city business owners were still cleaning up after a fresh round of looting and clashes between protestors and police in the divided Minnesota neighborhood over Wright’s shooting.
