BREAKING: Attempt to Open Debate on Bill For January 6 Fails in the Senate

In the first filibuster of the Biden Administration, the Republicans were ultimately able to stop the Democrats.

On Friday, a 54-35 vote in the Senate failed to commence debate on a bill to appoint a commission to investigate the January 6 Capitol incident.

To carry the bill forward, 60 votes were required.

The following are the six Republican senators who voted in favor of a January 6 commission with the Democrats:

Collins
Murkowski
Romney
Cassidy
Sasse
Portman
