Last night in Orange, California, 4 people were murdered and a child was one of them in a mass shooting that occurred in a business complex.
One victim, a woman who was shot, was taken to a hospital and she’s stable, but injured. Also, the suspect is in hospital, also in critical condition, according to Police Lt. Jennifer Amat.
The incident occurred somewhere before 5:30 p.m. since the police were asked for reinforcement on the scene around that time.
“Our officers did engage in an officer-involved shooting,” she said. The suspect, who has still not been publicly identified, suffered a gunshot wound as well as the other victims, and it is still unfamiliar if he has made the shot on himself, or it was an accidental situation.
A gun was recovered, but further investigations are still ongoing,
Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., stated that she was monitoring further developments.
“I’m deeply saddened by reports of a mass shooting in Orange County, and I’m continuing to keep victims and their loved ones in my thoughts as we continue to learn more,” she said in a statement. “My team and I will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
