When it comes to defending Joe Biden, the media has already proven that there is no limit to how far it can go. The new CBS fake poll, however, was too much for others, including Snopes, the intrepid “fact checker.”
On Wednesday, Biden was summoned to give a shortened State of the Union address to a sparsely attended “joint session” of Congress. Even by their own abysmal standards, CBS conducted a poll that night that was thoroughly deceptive.

While essentially placing his administration on a war footing with followers of former President Donald J. Trump, the nation’s 46th president set out his ambitious plan to radically change America for the worse. According to CBS, a whopping 85 percent of people approved of Biden’s speech.
The rigged poll elicited jubilation among liberals.
The devil, however, was in the specifics, and CBS was caught outright lying to the American people by relying on a survey of “viewers” that was heavily biased in favor of Democrats. Just 169 Republicans out of over 1,000 people responded.
If the usually dependable Snopes issues a rare criticism of the media’s slanted misinformation, you know it was poor.

According to Snopes, “a post began to circulate on social media on April 29, 2021, the day after U.S. President Joe Biden gave his first address to a joint session of congress, saying that 85 percent of Americans approved of the president’s remarks.”
