Biden’s State Department Refuses to Approve Afghan Evacuation Flights with Americans on Board, According to Leaked Emails

The Biden State Department refuses to grant authority to utilize military facilities or land in the United States, according to a leaked email from an official to a retired Marine wanting to charter private evacuation flights for Americans out of Afghanistan.

According to an email acquired by Fox News, a State Department official refused to approve flights that could have evacuated American citizens and Afghan special immigrant visa (SIV) applicants to other nations.

According to Fox News, “the State Department clearly said that charter flights, even those carrying American citizens, would not be permitted to land at Defense Department (DOD) airbases.”

Security concerns have been raised about rescue flights landing at military facilities, according to officials.

Furthermore, according to the email correspondence, the Biden administration “refused to issue official authorisation for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in foreign nations.”

Despite recognizing that official authority would likely be required, the State Department stated it would have “no problem” to private evacuation flights seeking clearance to land in other nations.

Eric Montalvo, a retired Marine and military lawyer, received the email.

According to the Daily Mail, top Biden administration officials stated a day after the email exchange that they were not obstructing rescue attempts.

“The misunderstanding that we are stopping or even the possibility of preventing a charter airplane from taking off is simply untrue,” said State Department spokesperson Ned Price. “We couldn’t, and we still can’t.”

The issue isn’t taking off, but rather landing, according to the released email correspondence.

“U.S. officials have alluded to prospective security dangers from charter planes landing at military sites, claiming they lack the capacity on the ground to adequately examine flight manifests,” according to Fox.

“At [Al Udeid Air Base], the military airbase you described in your discussion with Samantha Power, no independent charters are allowed to land,” it reads.

“In fact, charters are not permitted to land at a DoD facility, and most, if not all, Middle Eastern countries, with the possible exception of Saudi Arabia, will allow charters to land,” the official wrote.

“You must select another target country, and it must not be the United States.”

“If these charters are seeking to go to a U.S. military installation, for example,” State Department spokesman Ned Price told Fox, “we have to weigh not only the threat to those who may be on board – especially if they’re American citizens, LPRs, or other Afghans to whom we have a special commitment – but also to the safety of those who may be on board.”

PlanB, a private rescue organization, has leveled similar charges against the State Department.

According to Fox News, the group’s organizer has stated that “the State Department is the only thing keeping the flights he’s organizing from departing Afghanistan.”

According to the source, another private rescue operator has stated that the department is the only thing blocking them from saving American lives.

That person allegedly said, “Those are our people standing on the tarmac, and all it takes is a f***ing phone call.”

“If one life is lost as result of this, the White House bears responsibility.
They continued, “Blood is on their hands.”
“It is the US administration, not the Taliban, that is holding this up, as much as it sickens me to say that.”

Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) accused the State Department of attempting to disrupt a rescue mission before fraudulently taking credit when the mission was successful in saving four Americans.

“For them to claim credit for negotiating with the Taliban, our troops… Mullin stated, “I physically walked across the bridge and was trying to negotiate with the Taliban, not the State Department, but our people.”

“When I saw the State Department come out and take pictures, I was shocked.

Glenn Beck, a conservative radio celebrity, claimed nearly two weeks ago that the State Department was “blocking” his organization’s efforts to rescue Christians from the Taliban in Afghanistan.

“The State Department has obstructed us at every turn,” he claimed. “The major issue has been the State Department and the White House.”
