In an effort to make America safer, the Justice Department announced a new rule that they claim is designed to make sure every person has a “safe and secure storage of firearms.”
How will they do this exactly?
“The new rule will force any federal firearms licensee to make available secure gun storage and safety devices to all customers,” DOJ wrote.
Releasing a statement, Attorney General Merrick Garland noted, “Today’s announcements build on the department’s efforts to reduce the risk of firearms falling into the wrong hands. Gun safety is a Department of Justice priority, and we will continue to take all appropriate steps to help reduce the number of people killed and injured by the misuse of firearms.”
