According to reports, the officer who shot Ashli Babbit blamed her death on her backpack.
What was inside Ashli’s backpack, though?

Mark Schamel, the Police Officers’ Attorney, said in a public statement that the backpack Ashli was carrying added to the Officers’ concerns.

In the same sentence, he contradicts himself by claiming that he did not see the three uniformed officers and just saw a crowded corridor. He couldn’t tell how long the corridor was. He could see the three uniformed officers in the immediate vicinity of Ashli Babbitt if she was carrying a backpack.

So, what is the real story?
The Officer explicitly notes that Ashli’s backpack exacerbated his fears, prompting him to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt. He decided to be the judge, jury, and executioner based on a what-if scenario because there was a small possibility that there could be a bomb or a weapon of some kind.

So, what was in Ashli Babbitt’s backpack?

Is it a bomb or a chemical or biological weapon? A chemical weapon or a high-capacity pistol, perhaps?

It was a scarf and a wool jumper.

Ashli Babbitt was murdered because she was wearing a wool coat and a scarf.
