Argentina’s President Tests Positive After Taking Two Shots

Argentina’s President, Alberto Fernandez, tested positive for coronavirus after receiving two doses of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine earlier this year. Fernandez’s doctor confirmed the diagnosis.
Since getting a positive antibody test result, Fernandez has been self-isolating.

“Fernandez is stable, asymptomatic, and his indicators are within normal limits,” said Saavedra. The president had taken a test after suffering from a fever and a headache the day before.” – Federico Saavedra, M.D.
The first dose of the vaccine was given to Fernandez in January at a public hospital in Buenos Aires. On February 11, he got the second vaccine. Fernandez is currently uncertain how he became sick.
According to the Russian Gamaleya Institute, the Sputnik V vaccine is 91.6 percent effective against infections and 100 percent effective against serious cases.
