Murkowski appears to be the first TDS domino to fall – and much sooner than we expected.
“Congratulations to the Republican Party!” According to sources, Murkowski will not run for re-election, Trump said in a statement.
“Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said she is ‘still weighing whether or not she will run for Senate again.’ To put it another way, there’s a chance she won’t run! Isn’t that fantastic?” According to The Hill, Trump said.

This comes after Murkowski told reporters on Tuesday that she hasn’t decided whether or not to run for re-election and that she’ll know “when I make it.”
According to Roll Call, Murkowski said, “I’ve been doing everything a successful incumbent does in terms of protecting my choices, visiting with Alaskans, investing a lot of time, as much time on the ground as I can, and raising funds.”
The Alaska Republican Party censured Murkowski last month after she insulted them by voting to impeach Trump in February.
“Why should I ask Alaskans to stand with me if I can’t say what I think our president should stand for?” At the time, Murkowski said.
In January, she also revealed that she would not vote for Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
According to The Hill, she said, “If the Republican Party continues to be the party of Trump, I’m not sure where I fit.”
Murkowski has received support from the Republican party, with the National Republican Senatorial Committee announcing support for her last Friday.
According to Yahoo News, their statement said, “She has been a strong advocate for Alaska’s interests.” “We are dead set on regaining the Senate majority and putting an end to the Democrats’ insane socialist agenda.”
Murkowski already has a Republican opponent in the form of Kelly Tshibaka, who has a double-digit advantage in the polls over her.
