When people talk about Trump running for president in 2024, they still pair him with DeSantis… and, while I adore DeSantis, I believe Trump would take a different path if he runs:

Vernon Jones is most likely considering a “presidential run” in 2024 in order to be seen as a vice presidential nominee for President Trump.
And, let’s face it, he’d be ideal. Vernon is not only a great nationalist, but he is also a former Democrat and a strong black politician.
Vernon could support President Trump not only with the black vote, but also with moderate Democrats who don’t agree with the extreme leftists who have taken over their party. Vernon is also from Georgia, a “red” state that is being attacked by Stacey Abrams as a “blue” state.
It’s a win-win-win-win situation.
And, at this stage, it’s logical to dismiss reports that President Trump will hold Pence if he ran for president in 2024.
“I’ll be going to Iowa, New Hampshire…and other places,” the former Georgia Representative said recently in an interview with a One America News correspondent. “Be on the lookout.”
So Jones seems to be putting his hat in the ring as a potential presidential candidate in 2024 – or is he going to support Trump?
In either case, I believe he is a logical choice for Trump’s future vice president.
Even though some in Georgia claim Jones is considering a run for Georgia Secretary of State or even Governor, his remarks at CPAC lead me to believe he has bigger ambitions if he’s going to Iowa.
A former Democrat who switched to the Republican Party in January.
“Moments ago, I declared that I am formally entering the Republican Party,” he tweeted on January 6th. The Republican Party is in dire need of representatives who know how to fight now more than ever. I know how to defend myself.”
Jones, who supported Trump for President while still a Democrat, delivered an excellent speech at the RNC’s virtual convention in August 2020. He backed Trump because of his economic policies, funding for historically black universities, and criminal justice reforms.
Supporters of Donald Trump “In 47 months, Donald Trump has done more for us (blacks) than Joe Biden has done in 47 years in public service,” Jones said.
