Lara Trump, Eric Trump’s wife, has joined Fox News as a contributor, the network reported Monday morning.
“Let’s welcome Lara Trump, a former senior advisor to the Trump campaign, and we have some exciting news for you: she’s joining Fox News as a contributor. “Welcome to the family, Lara,” host Ainsley Earhardt said on “Fox & Friends” Monday morning.

“First and foremost, I’m ecstatic to be joining the Fox family. I’ve felt like an unofficial part of the team for a long time,” Trump said.
“You guys know it was sort of a joke for the last five years because I would come there so frequently that the security guards were like, ‘Maybe we should just give you a key,’” she clarified.
“I’m ecstatic, I’m proud, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
Following her history, the North Carolina native discussed speculation that she would run for the U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina that will be vacated by incumbent Republican Sen. Richard Burr’s retirement.
“Fox has been very patient with me, and they’ve told me that if that’s something you plan to do, they’ll work with me on that front to make sure all the rules are followed,” she said.
“So, thank you to the Fox team for encouraging me to have that chance in the future,” she says. So I haven’t officially… made a decision yet, but hopefully soon,” she said.
During an unscripted speech earlier this month, former President Donald Trump expressed strong support for his daughter-in-future law’s Senate candidacy.

Lara Trump said she was “strongly considering” running for president in 2022 during an interview on Newsmax on Saturday.
“I’d love to serve the people of my home state of North Carolina, but it’s a major decision, as you know. For our family, it means a lot of changes,” she explained at the time.
“We’re figuring things out,” she said, “and I expect to have some to announce very soon.”
She claimed that the cost to her family is a concern in her decision.
“Unfortunately, the Democrats are doing all they can to stop decent people from running for office,” she said.
“Their mission is to annoy people before they say, ‘Oh my God, it’s just not worth it.’ Ok, I’d never do something that they tried to persuade me not to do. And I believe that is what we, as Republicans, should aim for as we fight back. We need to stand up to the cancel mentality and the nonsense.”
"I would love to represent the people of my home state in North Carolina, but it is a very big decision."
