On February 1, a 39-year-old single mother from Utah died four days after receiving her second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
According to KUTV, Kassidi Kurill’s family said she “had more energy” than other people she knew and was a happy person with no reported health issues.

Her boyfriend, Alfred Hawley, a former Air Force Base fighter pilot, told the outlet, “I didn’t really cry when my dad died, but I cry a lot for her.”
Kurill worked as a surgical technician for a number of local plastic surgeons.
“I’m at a point in my life where I’m OK with that [emotion], because she was the one who wanted to take care of me,” Hawley said through tears.
According to Fox News, Hawley said, “She seemed to be as fit as a horse.” “There were no established underlying factors in her case.”
On the morning of February 4, Hawley awoke to his daughter’s cries for assistance.
He said, “She came in early and said her heart was pounding and she needed to get to the emergency room.”
“[She] started getting sick right away, soreness at the shot site, then started getting sick, started moaning that she was drinking a lot of water but couldn’t pee, and then felt a little better the next day,” Hawley said.
Hawley’s health deteriorated, she said, with headaches, nausea, and the inability to urinate despite drinking fluids.
He took her to the ER, where she was given blood tests. Then, according to Hawley, she became less coherent and started to vomit.
They took her to the Trauma Center in Murray in the evening.
“They did a blood test and said she was very, very ill and her liver was not functioning,” Hawley said.
Doctors tried to stabilize her in preparation for a transplant, but her condition deteriorated to the point that she couldn’t speak by the next morning.
“They were attempting to stabilize her to the point that she could receive a liver transplant. And they couldn’t seem to get her to stay put,” he said. “Throughout the day, she deteriorated. And she died at nine o’clock.”
Kurill’s family is awaiting the results of an autopsy to find out what caused his death.
In honor of her and her 9-year-old daughter, they created a GoFundMe page called “Kassidi Kurill and Emilia Memorial Fund.”
COVID-19 vaccine side effects were investigated by KUTV, and four confirmed deaths were discovered by the families and caregivers.
In an email to The Epoch Times, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that as of March 8, over 92 million doses of mRNA vaccines for COVID-19 had been injected, with 1,637 deaths as a result of the injections.
“To date, VAERS has not found patterns in cause of death that would suggest a safety issue with COVID-19 vaccines,” the CDC says on its website.
The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) was developed in 1990 to monitor unanticipated vaccine reactions.
