Due to the latest mass shootings across the US, many leftists have asked for new gun control legislation.
When this kind of bill is put up for a vote in the US Senate, the Dems ask for help from 14 Republicans.

The Daily Wire covered this story:
Notable Republican senators, including Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Mitch McConnell (R-KY), helped Democrats pass a procedural vote, 64 to 34, a mere two hours after the text of the bill circulated.
The bill could be passed later this week by the Senate and then move onto the House, where it is expected to pass. The bill would then go to President Biden’s desk.
Notably, the 80-page legislation includes language on highly controversial so-called red flag laws.
According to Fox News, the bill “provides grants for states that implement their own red flag laws and offers additional funding for both school safety measures and mental health services.”
The gun control debate has been active in the past weeks, and many Republicans raised their voices, opposing such legislation.
Tonight, I opposed the gun control legislation — released only an hour before the vote — that would infringe on law-abiding Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

Call it what it is… GUN CONTROL, specifically: an infringement on the rights protected by the 2nd and 4th amendments. pic.twitter.com/pdzFp5oijm

I've seen enough. The Senate gun control bill is totally unacceptable. I will absolutely vote no.

A few prominent conservative pundits predicted that some GOP lawmakers who support gun control would pay the price at the polls.
Every GOP Senator voting for gun control will lose their seat next election.
Mark my words.
This will be worse than voting for Impeachment.

In a year when we’re likely going to see a larger Republican landslide than at any point since 1994, it’s unbelievable that we’re watching 14 “GOP” Senators push gun control.
Their only game plan is to surrender to the Left on policy. Every time.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, said on the Senate Floor that the chamber will “move to final passage as soon as possible” and that he expects the bill to pass by the end of the week.
And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, said in a statement, “After the Senate passes this bill, the House will swiftly bring it to the Floor so that we can send it to President Biden’s desk.”
President Joe Biden is expected to sign the legislation if it passes the Senate and the House
